MULTI-REG
105,00 €
MULTI-REG ® is a medical device for occlusal registration, developed by Prof. Stefano Pagano and Dr. Francesco Tortorella, useful in many dental fields whenever it is necessary to define, in a stable and reproducible manner, a defined occlusal registration.
Light-curing material, available in pre-formed plates and can be light-cured with all UV or halogen light devices. The pre-formed plates are supplied in a light-proof box, reusable as a container for transport or storage of models etc.
Packaging: 20 pieces / pieces

Scope of application
- Dental.
- Multi-disciplinary (physiotherapy and/or osteopathy.
Dental: entire arch single layer (single thickness):
- Recording in maximum intercuspation for verification, diagnosis-control in first visit.
- Registration for requesting study models in various dental fields.
- Post-preparation registration of crowns and bridges for inter-arch registrations.
- Registration in the implant-prosthetic field, both in the diagnostic and prosthetic-rehabilitative phases.
- Registration for bite prescriptions (Michigan simple type).
- In the orthodontic field to verify or improve occlusal contacts using transparent alignment methods.
Dental: full arch multilayer (variable thickness):
- Creation of temporary bite in a single session in acute temporomandibular disorders (emergency conditions, repositioning bite, joint chamber decompression (TMJ) and/or muscle deconditioning).
- Recording during and/or after electromyographic/kinesiological investigation.
- Registration before direct/indirect conservative treatment.
Dental: partial use (hemiarch, frontal group) single-multilayer:
- On hemiarch during direct composite reconstructions.
- In orthodontics to improve the occlusal alignment during the use of various treatment methods.
- In the gnathological field, to be able to identify a mandibular posture and record this position.
- Creating a temporary muscle deconditioning gig.
Multi-disciplinary (physiotherapy and/or osteopathy):
- Possibility to check a mandibular posture and consequently be able to reset pre-existing muscular engrams.
- Possibility to decompress the temporomandibular joint and manually analyze the tonic-fascial muscle changes.
- Being able to use the material (therefore already deconditioning or temporary plates) in the tonic-postural field during the different cervical ROMs (accelerometer/baiobit), paropodometric platform according to the various procedures and protocols of use.
- Possibility of use also in the kinesiological field, through the execution of various evaluation and/or diagnostic tests in the presence of occlusal adaptations recorded and maintained through the material.
TARGET PATIENT GROUP: Anyone who needs individual bite registrations for various types of dental treatments.
INTENDED USER: Dentist/Odontologist, specialist in Gnathology and/or orthognathodontics. Physiotherapist, osteopath in agreement with the attending physician.
Preparation and use
- Remove the pre-formed plate from the package and close it.
- Apply the plate to the model (if already present) and define the contours of the arch and consequently of the future occlusal registration (optional phase).
- In the absence of a model (e.g. during the first visit), apply an Optra-gate, adapt the plate to the patient's lower arch after having carefully eliminated excess saliva, adapt the material to the teeth with your fingers (preferably only on the occlusal area) trying not to press excessively.
- Close the jaw, make the registration, and then proceed with polymerization, initially in the molar region and then incisal area. Complete the polymerization of the entire arch in the vestibular direction, then reopen the jaw, repeat opening/closing a couple of times and then polymerize the lingual sides. (Classic occlusal registration technique).
- As regards multi-layer registration, it is advisable to carry out a classic registration, dry the obtained plate thoroughly and gradually apply further layers and polymerise each time (no adhesives of any kind will be necessary between the layers).
Polymerization times
Polymerization with UV or halogen light, depending on the type of device.
Finishing
If necessary, finish the edges of the registration/plate obtained with a tungsten carbide cutter and smooth with sandpaper.
Health
Dip individual registration MULTI-REG ® in a disinfectant solution based on glutaraldehyde. The duration varies according to the manufacturer's instructions.
