DUAL LAMINATE

B-FORM

Technical Information

Double layer disc, hard top and soft bottom, easy to shape and finish, made with Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and PET-G.
To use this material we recommend using one of the models of Thermoprinters B-FORM®.

PRODUCT FOR PROFESSIONAL USE

Applications

  • Hard byte for bruxism.
  • Hard byte for ATM showers.

Thermoforming

  • Build a good plaster model using a good quality hard plaster or 3D resin.
  • The plaster model must not be very tall and therefore must be made as thin as possible. The base of the model must have a smooth surface. Eliminate the parts of the model (vestibule, buccal floor) that may prevent correct thermoforming. Carefully unload the undercut areas and round the sharp edges of the plaster.
  • The resin model, printed with a 3D printer, is recommended to be made as low as possible and in the shape of a U "horseshoe".
  • During thermoforming, the material always becomes thinner than its original thickness. Generally, for every cm of height of the model, there is a loss of thickness of about 20%. For this reason, it is necessary to lower the height of the model as much as possible or insert the model into the well of the thermoforming machine and cover it with stainless steel granulate, leaving only the area to be formatted uncovered.
  • Heat the disc respecting the temperatures and times listed in the section "Temperatures and times"
  • Lower the thermoforming machine clamping plate B-FORM® until the heated disc completely surrounds the plaster or 3D resin model.
  • Turn on the vacuum and in seconds you will have your byte.
  • Cool the newly made byte before removing it from the model.
  • To facilitate removal, cut the plastic material as close as possible to the edge of the model using scissors e cutters GHOST ALIGNER®.
  • While the patient is using the byte, it is recommended to sanitize it daily with the SPORISAN® Gel.

NOTE: : The disc requires double heating. First heat the soft side facing upwards towards the resistance and then turn the disc 180°.

FAQs

Find out more Read the product FAQs.

If the thermoformed byte does not reproduce all the details of the model there could be two causes:
1. The disc has not been heated properly and requires more heating. It is recommended that you follow the heating instructions in the "Temperatures and times".
2. The thermoforming machine has suction problems due to the wear of the components (gaskets, vacuum motor) or excessive dirt accumulated in the various filters which prevents the correct passage of the air flow.
If the thermoformed byte has creases, it means that the disk has been overheated and requires less heating. It is recommended to follow the heating instructions in the "Temperatures and times".
To make it easier to remove the disc, cut the plastic material as close as possible to the edge of the model using scissors e cutters GHOST ALIGNER®. For finishing we recommend using the finishing brush equipped with 3 different hardnesses (soft, medium, hard).
Yes! Acrylic resin sticks.
